Veni, vidi, vici

Life happened and it's been more than six months since our last post :(

Unfortunately, conflicting priorities limited us to doing only two markets this season. However short and sweet it was, we had a great time and the resounding positive response to the vintage direction of our designs has been wonderful!

Thanks to our fans for their continued support; we look forward to more exposure in 2013, so stay tuned...

It was a box of chocolates...

and now it's a box of sweet, calorie-free earrings! Repurposed liners from chocolate boxes make the perfect organizers to keep jewelry clutter to a minimum.

Spring Fling

Our first show of the season is coming up next week...the VGH Spring Artisan Market on May 10th. We'll be keeping good company with lots of great vendors including Gilt Studio Gallery, Golem Designs, Firefly Notes and Susan Marczak to name a few!

If you're in the Vancouver area, stop by and say hello; you'll be sure to find something to fall in love with :) Details are on our Events page.

It's not hard being green...

I didn't celebrate St. Paddy's Day with green beer, but I did purchase a khaki green laptop briefcase from Canadian design company Matt and Nat. Does this count?

I was über pleased to find a functional + fashionable bag that will carry my laptop, files and should I desire...my personal belongings. There is a sleek and gorgeous colour option of white with contrasting black trim available on the Matt & Nat website and select European Apple stores, but my earthy green bag cost me only one-fourth the price! Booyah! I thank my Lucky Charms :)

The exterior is made of a quality vegan leather and inside you will find multiple compartments made of a faux-suede material stamped with "LINING MADE FROM 45 RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLES". How cool is that?

I'll consider this to be my small contribution to be a little greener everyday of the year and not just on St. Patrick's Day.

Hello Spring?

I love the retro look of these wedding cakes (even with the disproportionate cake toppers)! The vintage colours and minimalist designs sit perfectly atop milk glass pedestal stands; it makes me smile and look forward to Spring...if it ever gets here?

Speaking of Spring, we're excited about our first upcoming show for the season.  On May 10th, we'll be back at Vancouver General Hospital for their annual Spring Artisan Market, where we will debut a new display for Izzy and Buds Jewelry Designs. I don't want to spoil the surprise just yet, so stay tuned for an update and maybe some photos :)

LBD

Here's a clever and stylish way to display and organize your jewelry from Umbra.  There are 39 clear pockets for storing your earrings/rings and on the flip side are 24 hook and loop tabs for necklaces/bracelets.

Do take heed...if you are displaying Sterling silver jewelry, it will tarnish over time if it remains exposed to the air.  If your precious baubles are looking a little dull, check out our jewelry care page on how to clean them with a very simple and effective method using household materials.
